TRAUMA SENSITIVE CURRICULUM MANAGER

Job Title: Trauma Sensitive Curriculum Manager

Department: Residential Services

Hours: 30 hours, Monday through Friday. On call as needed. ​

Job Summary

• Develop trauma-sensitive curriculum that educates participants about coping skills, emotional

       regulation, trauma, etc.

• Evaluate needs of the program and assess topics and classes based on participant need.

• Connect program outcomes with class content.

• Lead classes based on current needs or phases of participants. May delegate or designate

       leading of classes to volunteers or staff as appropriate or necessary.

• Lead discussions that create a safe environment for growth and healing.

• Create a space of accountability in connection with class topics.

Education and Experience: Education or experience in the mental health field, along with a good understanding of trauma is required. Preference will be given to individuals who possess a bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, behavior health, or a related field. 3 - 5 years of relevant experience required.

Note: This role works directly with female participants in our residential homes. Wings of Refuge follows a trauma informed care approach and due to the nature and sensitivity of this job, a bona fide occupational qualification is that we can only hire women into this role.
