Direct Care Coach (PT 24 hr shift)

 

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our Direct Care team. Wings of Refuge is a Christ-centered organization that provides opportunities for healing and restoration to survivors of sex trafficking and sexual exploitation. We do this by providing a long-term restorative safe home, meaningful work through a social enterprise and transitional housing. As a Direct Care Coach, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to our residents in a group home environment. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of participants.

 

Hours: Part-time 24 hr per week. One 24-hr shift is 7 am - 7 am.

 

Schedule: This role offers a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our participants. By filling an overnight shift in our Restoration Home on the weekends, you help us create a safe and fun environment for one more girl to experience restoration through the love of Christ.  Weekend shifts get to plan and participate in fun activities, venture out and take part in events in the community, and attend church services together.  We have two 24-hr positions as follows:

 

Saturday Shift

Works every other Saturday 7am to Sunday 7am 

Sunday Shift

Works every other Sunday 7am to Monday 7am

                                                                                                                                                                                                   

Job Summary:  Create a culture of healing centered care for participants of the program.  Develop relationships through normal life routines such as making meals together, planning, coordinating and driving participants to activities, and doing life together in the home.  This role also includes to following responsibilities:                                         

• Provide Safety: Support participants during non-programming hours and help ensure a safe and healthy rhythm in the home.

• Build Relationships: Create an atmosphere with structure and integrate fun and relaxation.

• Maintain Home: Oversee, coordinate and assist with cleaning and other tasks around the home. 

• Support Programming: Coordinate or assist with the development and delivery of daily schedules.  Support and guide participants in the achievement of goals.  Fill in as needed with leading or teaching classes.
