Development Director

Full Time

Salary

Role: The Development Director will be responsible for leading and overseeing the development team to network with givers, community partners, local churches, and local and national sex trafficking organizations. As a leader for Wings, they will communicate and collaborate campaigns and appeals with team members and a Board of Directors.

Experience:

  • Non-profit donor development experience including proven track record of success in developing donor relationships, soliciting major donors, developing prospective donors, and achieving revenue targets

  • Leadership skills and the ability to work well with diverse groups such as donors, fundraising volunteers, board, and staff

  • Comfortable with public speaking, fundraising and media relations


Job Responsibilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact professionally on the phone, by email and in person with all levels of donors, staff, and general public

  • Willingness to travel to meet with donors and prospective donors

  • Be able to share the story and vision of Wings of Refuge

  • Creative visionary who is able to provide inspiration to effectively lead development team

  • Possess fundraising and public speaking experience

  • Ability to creatively communicate with a range of audiences: individual supporters, foundations, companies, churches and other partners

  • Media relations with different types of media outlets such as radio, newspaper, podcasts

  • Oversee the organization’s social enterprise

  • Regularly attend meetings with executive director and leadership team to collaborate and stay on track with the strategic plans within the organization

  • Provide monthly development report for the board of directors

    program

  • Maintain an active, growing relationship with the Lord

  • Abide by organization policies and procedures

  • Willingness to pursue and participate in continuing education and training to stay up to date on best practices and regulatory compliance requirements

  • Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people

  • Have a high level of of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the board of directors or executive director

Qualifications:

  • Never have been shown by credible evidence (e.g., a court or jury, a department investigation, or other reliable evidence) to have abused, neglected, sexually exploited, or deprived a child or adult or to have subjected any person to serious injury as a result of intentional or grossly serious injury as a result of intentional or grossly negligent misconduct as evidenced by an oral or written statement to this effect obtained at the time of application and evidence of having made efforts to obtain and evaluate references from previous employers

  • Documentation of at least two professional, educational or personal references that attest to the person’s capability of performing the duties of the position

  • Complete a satisfactory preliminary criminal history background check and a satisfactory fingerprint records check

  • Be 21 years of age or older

  • Pass a motor vehicle record check

Business Manager

Full Time

Role: The Business Manager will assist the Executive Director with the financial operations of Wings of Refuge. The Business Manager will also organize staff and volunteers to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency, and keep records concerning maintenance of Wings of Refuge property, personnel and participants.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Enter donations in Bloomerang

  • Track all participant gifts and in-kind volunteer services and activities to ensure contributions are properly tracked

  • Data entry and financial reporting in Quickbooks

  • Track balances in all financial accounts

  • Manage accounts receivable and payables

  • Keep track of all organization receipts and checks - tracking line item budget categories

  • Track and reimburse monthly mileage reports

  • Complete biweekly payroll

  • Track PTO

  • Make deposits

  • Human Resources

  • Administrative Support

  • Volunteer Coordinator Duties

Additional Responsibilities:

    program

  • Display strength-based tendencies

  • Effectively communicate with others

  • Participate in all required training and show competency in skill areas of training content.

  • Willingness to pursue and participate in continuing education and training to stay up to date on best practices and regulatory compliance requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people

  • Proficient with all forms of technology

  • Forward thinker able to evaluate and implement systems that improve communication and efficiency to best serve the organization

  • Possesses exceptional administrative, organization, and time-management skills

  • Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or Board of Directors
